Steve Dukes moved to Nashville in 1988 to pursue a career in the music business. After working as a “tape-copy” boy, then a “song-plugger”, and finally the vice president of a successful publishing company, Steve became a hit songwriter, penning the monster Tim McGraw hit; “I Like It I Love It” as well as Joe Diffie’s #1 hit; “Bigger Than the Beatles”, among others.
Steve caught the real estate bug several years ago when he bought his first fixer-upper and sold it for a profit. He “flipped” several more residential properties as well as one commercial building. He has since moved into a position where he can use his insights to help other people with buying, selling and investing. He considers himself a consultant, not a salesman.
“My goal is to provide a smooth journey through the process of buying or selling a home or investment property. I don’t like pushy people, I’ve found that what works best is to treat people the way you would like to be treated yourself”.
Steve has lived in the Sylvan Park area of Nashville Tennessee for over 15 years with his wife Aimee. They were blessed with their first child, a son, Tucker in 2008. They recently welcomed their second child, a daughter, Gracyn who was adopted from China in 2014.
“I have worked with first time home buyers as well as friends who have bought multi-million dollar properties. I have experience in rentals and rehabs. I like to make sure that I know exactly what my clients are looking for, and what they expect throughout the buying or selling process. Then, I strive to keep them well informed and stress free until we reach those goals.”
Steve is currently on the Board of Trusties for The Covenant School in Nashville, as well as the Steering Committee for the Sylvan Park Neighborhood Association. Steve has served preciously on the Membership Committee for the Greater Nashville Association of Realtors.
